Include names of schools you got into in your LOCI?

Post by tmkm » Tue Mar 25, 2014 10:18 am

Would you advise against including the names of some of the schools you have gotten into when sending a LOCI?

I was thinking of including it along the lines of:

Paragraph 1: list of recent professional accomplishments
Paragraph 2: "I have been fortunate enough to be admitted to x, y, z school, but they are less appealing to me than your school..."
Paragraph 3: why your school is the best fit for me
Paragraph 4: conclusion

any thoughts?

meh, i wouldn't try and leverage acceptance unless you're sure you're YP.

now, if you're negotiating scholarship money, that type of info is extremely relevant, especially if you got money into those other schools.

that second paragraph reeks of pandering, though
