should I be sending a loci? or anything? or do you think that they would find this to be a nuisance?

I went complete mid Nov. I sent a 1 page update on some work I'm doing now that is also my strongest soft but I didn't address it in detail in my PS. It was received with a warm thank you. Silence ever since. Anyways, I would follow JS' advice on what updates to send. There are no explicit holds at HLS this cycle, and I imagine that with the extended deadline and everything, longer waits should be expected.

Good luck!
