UG won't accept summer classes to boost gpa?

Post by AfricanGal » Fri Feb 28, 2014 5:59 pm

I'm a sophomore attending a top 15 liberal arts college. I didn't think it was possible, but apparently at my college, summer courses taken over the summer at other colleges don't get transferred onto my transcript (no grade). Is this true, because this is the first I'm hearing of it. It's kind of a bummer, because I really need the gpa boost. Any thoughts? Anyone had similar experience?

It is not uncommon that a top college requires approval for taking summer classes for GPA credit (and that such approval is rare).

But it won't matter for LS apps, bcos LSAC WILL include the summer courses in you LSAC GPA, which is the only one that matters.
