I submitted my transcript a little over a year ago, as I had originally planned on applying last cycle. The GPA listed on that transcript is 3.76. However, my current GPA is 3.80 (possibly 3.81 on my final transcript). I have an incomplete in a course that will be expunged at the end of this month, which is why I have postponed submitting my updated transcript.
I will be submitting applications within the next week and was wondering if it would it be acceptable for me to list my updated GPA on my resume, in order to indicate that there will be an increase on my final transcript (which will be submitted in February). On the other hand, I worry that this may appear as though I am trying to mislead the admissions committee. Then again, perhaps it won't make any difference, as the committee's primary concern is the LSAC report. Thoughts?

Re: Updated GPA
I'm sure someone more knowledgable can chime in, but why not just not list your GPA on your resume?

Re: Updated GPA
Why not just send in a transcript update to LSAC so that your LSAC GPA goes up?

I think that's OP's plan once the incomplete is expunged.midwest17 wrote:Why not just send in a transcript update to LSAC so that your LSAC GPA goes up?

Yeah, I'm sorry - I don't think I was very clear in my initial post. I want to wait to submit the updated transcript until February, when the incomplete will be gone.midwest17 wrote:I have no idea how I missed that.xylocarp wrote:I think that's OP's plan once the incomplete is expunged.midwest17 wrote:Why not just send in a transcript update to LSAC so that your LSAC GPA goes up?
Yes, this is what I was planning on doing. What I'm wondering is whether the different GPAs will attract negative attention from adcoms.xylocarp wrote:I'm sure someone more knowledgable can chime in, but why not just not list your GPA on your resume?
