Re: 4.17 w/ 167 and 175
I wouldn't bother with an addendum. Enjoy Harvard.

That sure? I figured Harvard might still average the scores?

Perhaps, but Yale and Stanford are tough to predict. Maybe they won't like the excuse making addendum when the OP inevitably writes it? Also, no softs.Bajam wrote:Enjoy everywhere.

Highly doubtful. Even if we said for sure that they would, would that stop you from applying?sd26 wrote:That sure? I figured Harvard might still average the scores?
Just apply and see what they say.

Congratulations on your 175. That puts you in great shape with your stellar GPA.sd26 wrote:I took the lsat in October, but was still recovering from the flu, and so I got a 167, despite PT's in the mid 170's. I took again in December and scored a 175, as I was healthy. I wrote an addendum explaining what happened in october, and was wondering what my chances are for admission at HYS or CCN would be?
If you haven't already sent off your apps, I suggest not sending that addendum. "I was recovering from the flu" is not a good excuse. There will be times during both law school and your legal career when you will be sick; don't give the admissions committee a reason to think that you can't handle the routine inconveniences of life. You're better off letting the second score speak for itself.
Good luck!

My B, I read what you said as "Travelling/studying abroad are my softs."sd26 wrote:Well, I've got a fair amount of softs, but no paid positionsBigZuck wrote:Perhaps, but Yale and Stanford are tough to predict. What exactly can we do for you? You're going to apply to these schools regardless, and they are the best judge of whether you will get in or not.
Are you asking will the average scores? Common wisdom says no, but maybe HYS does. But probably not. Maybe they do?
Are you asking if you should write an addendum? Zuck wisdom says no, it'll probably just sound like an excuse and stuff happens to a lot of people the day of the test. If you don't think it will hurt you, then go for it.

I was accepted to Harvard with numbers similar to yours and with multiple LSAT scores. Congrats and enjoy

Just to clarify, UT-Austin is a fantastic school, I just picked the first non T-14 school that came to mind. No offense intended :/cron1834 wrote:Heh.phillywc wrote:i have a 4.34/181 can i get UT-Austin?????cron1834 wrote:Some people really enjoy being told how great they are.
