How is the application displayed to adcoms?
I was wondering if applications are displayed just the way the preview on lsac displays or if they get your uploaded documents separately. My header won't show up on the preview and it is over the two page limit, while in word processors it is less than two pages and the header is displayed. Anyone know?

They see it as it shows in the preview.

Haha me either. I think I was just thinking that their preview system couldn't show headers or footers but the adcoms would be able to see it. Oh well, hopefully they don't mix up my papers because my name and lsac number aren't on themBaby_Got_Feuerbach wrote:OnaFets wrote:Well damn...midwest17 wrote:They see it as it shows in the preview.

Don't worry. They will get the whole application as a single packet.OnaFets wrote:Haha me either. What format did you do your documents in? I used .doc and .docx files, with standard Word headers and footers, and they showed up fine.

I used .rtf also did everything on Google Docs. Hopefully the lack of header makes my paper stand outmidwest17 wrote:What format did you do your documents in? I used .doc and .docx files, with standard Word headers and footers, and they showed up fine.

If, by some chance, this isn't a troll: don't use Google Docs for anything professional. If you don't want to pony up for Word, download Open Office.

Wow, I just used .docx just to see and it is under two pages and has the proper header. Only sent out my apps to my tops picks so far....

OpenOffice is definitely good (I have used it for >10 years), but LibreOffice is where the open source community has migrated to these days. I have very little experience with Google Docs, however; is there a reason you recommend not using it for professional things?midwest17 wrote:......OnaFets wrote:I used .rtf also did everything on Google Docs. Are we sure about this? I sorta kinda remember hearing from KB at some point that they way they see it is different.midwest17 wrote:They see it as it shows in the preview.
Maybe the OP could post this in Spivey's thread just to confirm that Midwest is right (as I could be totally wrong).
