New job- should I email adcoms and tell them?

Post by mickey_mouse » Mon Nov 25, 2013 10:57 am

TLSers-

I applied to law schools right after I got Oct. LSAT scores back. Since then, I've gotten a job as a research associate at an investment management firm. It's substantive work, I'm putting in a lot of hours, and I'll be there until I (hopefully) head to law school next fall. Is it worth emailing admissions offices just giving them an update, or would that just be annoying to them?

I think it's definitely worth an update. Send a short email with a copy of your resume and you're all set.

Update if this happens to anyone else- emailed all the schools to which I applied, already gotten a response from a few saying, "thanks for your continued interest, your file has been updated with the info provided" or something to that effect.
