Refer to U Chicago as "The Law School"?

Post by nothingtosee » Sat Nov 23, 2013 4:05 pm

I know there was a thread on this, searched for it, couldn't find it.

Should I refer to Chicago as "The Law School"? What is the "in the know" nomenclature? e.g. "The Law School is one of the best..." w/e

Seems clunky in a personal statement, but that is how we all refer to it

It is appropriate to do so, but I would introduce it once as "The University of Chicago Law School". I don't think it ultimately matters much, you could go with U. Chicago, U. of C, Chicago, etc so long as you are clear and consistent.
