Hey guys,

So I had a minor in possession of alcohol charge that was handled by my university when I was in my freshman year of college back in 2009. I was never formally charged for it and I was processed through the school's conduct system. Apparently, my school destroys all records when you graduate and I graduated in May. Should I still report my charge or is there no need because the student files have been destroyed

Just reveal it. Adcoms don't really care. It's not worth the potential hassle if it wasn't as permanently deleted as you think it is.

Bro if you don't report it you will probably be fine for admissions but you will fail C&F.

They look into things like this. There is always another record.

Be concise. Don't make excuses.

I have no problem being honest but some schools require the actual documentation of the charge. If my documents were destroyed then how can I possibly get the documents to show the charges?

Just explain that in the disclosure. This is simpler than you are making it.

alcohol in 2009? Disclosing even though their is no record? What a stand up gentlemen displaying immense integrity.

Does the application ask for it? If so, disclose. If not, dont.
