Addendum Question

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum and I was wondering if someone could help me out concerning writing an addendum. My freshman year I was a Theatre major with a 4.0 GPA, I enjoyed the major, however, I missed the academic field and realized that I wanted something more challenging and was also interested in applying to law school. So, I ended up switching to a double major in Philosophy and Jurisprudence my sophomore year of college and my GPA remains the same.

Is an explanation necessary or would it just end up being excessive?
