This. Schools will see that you got your lowest grades during freshman year and assume you just had some difficulty adjusting. Since that's basically your story there's no need for an addendum. Now go stomp the LSAT.thestatusguo wrote: 4) This is pretty clear on my summary report, especially since LSAC breaks down the grades by year

Why would you write a GPA addendum for a 3.8?

It'll look silly. You don't need an addendum.mindarmed wrote:Why would you write a GPA addendum for a 3.8?

You guys are silly or just think that you're special snowflakes.
GPA explanation for 3.8 is about the dumbest thing ever. Are you serious? You can get into HYS with that GPA granted you have a good LSAT score.
It makes sense for people like me who did really badly due to things out of our control (mother's cancer scare, her surgeries, my own surgery) and had 2.3 ---> 3.25 GPA at the end of college. I had a 2.3 or 2.4 average my first 2 years in pre-req classes, yet managed to pull As in the end in 300/400 level hardcore CS classes. I repeated a course I did badly in (D --> A) but my LSAC GPA is about 3.0 - 3.05.
Come on bro.... you're set. Why do you need to prove you're good when you're already in HYS territory? GPA explanations are for people like me who are LEGITIMATELY screwed. Even if I get 180 and win a nobel peace prize there's no way in hell I'm getting into HYS.
Seriously OP... why would you even ask? You know that 3.8 is a GOOD GPA. You have a freaking 99 percentile GPA stop being a drama queen.
