not updating fall grades

so i have a 3.82 LSAC gpa. I have a few tough courses this fall and my GPA has a chance of falling because I may receive a B. What are the disadvantages of not updating the transcript once apps are in? Should I only update if they request it?

All of the schools I have looked into (none outside of the T-14) say you are required to submit fall grades.

ya in that online kaplan thingy , all the admissions deans wanted to be kept updated with fall grades. They'll begin to assume the worst if you don't.
