I scored a 164 on the December 2012 LSAT. My practice tests had consistently been 7-10 points higher, so it was quite a disappointment. However, the bigger disappointment is that due to my military schedule I will be unable to take the LSAT again this cycle. I am currently deployed and unable to take an LSAT until June 2014. In order to be eligible for the JAG program that I'm applying to, I must apply this year. Is it justifiable to write an LSAT addendum explaining why I can't retake the LSAT? I know the typical answer for a low LSAT score is just retake it, but since that is not an option, would a short statement be useful?

I have a few reasons why my score was lower than my practice tests would have suggested, but I certainly don't want to come across as making excuses. I'd just like to explain why I didn't retake it.

Okay, thanks to all that replied! That was definitely my original thought. The idea just popped in my head, and I thought it was worth vetting.
