Why/how would you cause a scene?gottago wrote:I'm thinking about registering for one. I don't expect to learn all that much, but my primary motivation is to meet other LS applicants. However, I also don't want to unwittingly act gauche in front of admissions people. Not causing a scene or anything, just anything other than really smooth.

There are soo many people going through those forums that I think you'd have to go pretty far beyond the normal for un-smoothness for them to both notice and remember your name as well as remember it later and make a point in tying it to your application...gottago wrote:...
I specifically said this question isn't about looking gauche through causing a scene, it's about looking gauche through looking like anything but smooth

I very much think so (and I have been to likely over 50).
You can get a feel for a law school by how the forum representatives comport themselves. Some are consummate professionals who will answer a broad array of questions without ever impugning other law schools. On the flip-side, some think smiling and pointing to lamented data they bring with them and shoeing you constitutes the extent of their job. To me, it is good to know which are which...at least from my perspective.
Indeed, I would be highly curious from some who went their experiences with who filled each side of this continuum.

I thought the OP was referring to on online forum over at LSAC.com, which made the first few posts a lot funnier/odder.
