Hi all,
Studying to retake the October 2013 LSAT and reapply next cycle and had a few questions about my application materials from this cycle. Does it look bad to have LORs that are one year old if schools know you are a reapplicant?
It would be awkward to ask for another set of LORs from my recommenders. Would old LORs and essays hinder chances at admission?

Re: Application materials for reapplying next cycle
FWIW I applied two cycles in a row, and only applied to HLS and Columbia twice, the other schools for the first time. I don't think it mattered too much as long as your PS changes and talks about how YOU've changed since you applied the first time and why they shuld take you this time I think its fine. It seems HLS didnt care

I applied two cycles in a row and used all the old LOR's again.
The only two things I changed were my LSAT score and PS/DS.
I think you will be fine. Good luck

Is it well understood that one should always submit a new personal statement? Is it appropriate to reference the prior PS?

It's probably okay to use the prior PS, but I had more to talk about my new WE so I decided to write a new one.helix23 wrote:Is it well understood that one should always submit a new personal statement? Is it appropriate to reference the prior PS?
