Re: Unprofessional email address?
they don't care. They don't even come close to caring.
also . . . how in the world could a name not lend itself to an email address. Firstname.lastname@xxx.com. Unless, of course your name is Firstname Lastname.

Re: Unprofessional email address?
Initials and numbers are not unprofessional. Unprofessional is sexxaygurl@hotmail.com or ganjakid@yahoo.com.

Adcomms are NOT judging the number of digits in your email address.

Just make one that says your initials and JD applicant or something like that.

Yes, you've cracked the code. YS let people in based on the number of digits in their email. Congratulations.gottago wrote:not even YS?A. Nony Mouse wrote:Adcomms are NOT judging the number of digits in your email address.

I mean, if you're this concerned (which you shouldn't be), then make a new one that you would deem to be more professional. A. Nony Mouse is right, you know when you see an unprofessional and/or juvenile email address.

Re: Unprofessional email address?
Kids, before I met your mother no one used their real names for their email addresses...
Those were the days. Now I'll be lucky if I get 2 or 3 email addresses to use for my presentation to pre-Ls on unprofessional email addresses.
But it's more accurate to say that AdComs don't consider your email address in their admissions decision. If it's stupid/immature/unprofessional, believe that they are judging you...just personally and not professionally.
Above posters are correct about how to tell which side of the line yours is on and what to do if it's on the wrong side.

Re: Unprofessional email address?
4-7 numbers is OK, but no more. I knew a kid with a 3.95, 180, and an email address with 8 numbers. He ended up at Cooley.gottago wrote:4-7 numbers??? that's not too many? I once dealt with an IB that almost launched an investment platform with the email "--scamalot@---.com"
(The platform was gonna be called Camelot. Internal guidelines required the general email fof that type of platform to start with a 3 letter code --S)
