Hey guys,
So.. I'm trying to get a jump on my essays for schools. The firm I work for is gearing up to do some serious arbitration in the following months and I'm gonna get hammered with over time. Whatever I can get done now will be largely beneficial.
Other than personal statement and diversity statement.. do you guys know of any common supplementals?
Also, with regard to the diversity statement - how long is it typically? And how long are addenda?
Cheers!

Re: Additional Essays?
If you're applying to any place that asks for a "Why X?" essay, that's the most common supplemental essay. Other than that, some of the Jesuit-type schools require some type of ethics essay that is just youThe Dark Kite wrote:Hey guys,

Diversity statement should be shorter than the personal statement - 1.5 pages is a good target. Addenda are long enough to discuss the issue in a full-but-concise manner. Depending on the issue, that could be one paragraph or one page. I wouldn't go longer than that, unless you're hitting a few issues with the same essay (for instance, a diversity essay about being a first-generation college student that also serves as an explanatory essay for a first semester or two of bad grades).
