2. If you want to apply 2013-14 cycle, what time is ideal? (Sept - Dec)?

3. Do law schools just focus on the #s (LSAT, Gpa) or are they picky, and scrutinize your undergraduate record? (my gpa: 3.05, LSATs...172, 177)...reason I ask if they are picky is, I have 4 D's on transcript, and several semesters of straight W's (non counted). Do straight Ws in a semester look better to adcoms then: half courses taken/half withdrawals in a semester?
Corey,

I address all of this in a ton of detail here (I've worked at two T30 schools)

http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 2&t=197451

but briefly

1. They see all scores but really only care about the high score because that goes to ABA and thus USNWR *(there may be a few exceptional circumstances where they care about all scores but these are far outliers)...they may use words like "look at all scores" etc etc but pretty much ignore that.

2. After Sept 15th and before Dec. 1 is your sweet spot.

3. I think this is talked about at length in the thread I linked.

Good luck!

#3-they are picky and will scrutinize your UG record. having said that, the scarcity of high lsat scorers means that top schools will still consider you despite your low grades. don't overthink the Ds or Ws. regardless of whether you are a consistent B student or a A/C student, they already know you didn't do well in college. apply widely and there's a good chance you'll get lucky and land an acceptance at a top school.
