It's all about the GPa and LSAT combo.

HYS? No. CNN? Probably.
Also, you should make a new account. Might be more effective with a 2013 join date.

Everybody pay close attention. Here are the connections you need:law2015 wrote:It's all about the GPa and LSAT combo.
a desk, books, basic supplies, and the campus library to study for your UG courses;
your UG professors during office hours, so they can get to know you well;
a local or national non-profit looking for free labor, so you can get a few years of community service;
a local burger or pizza joint with a nice manager, somewhere that allows you to theive and receive at least one promotion...somewhere you like to work;
a desk, a Half-Price Books store to purchase some cheap LSAT prep materials and exams, a friend/girlfriend/boyfriend, a timer, and maybe an LSAT course (Powerscore, Manhattan, Testmasters, etc.);
A computer, so you can register with the LSAC/LSDAS;
A local airport or train station so you can visit and tour your choice schools, and speak with admissions counselors.

I'm simply replying the way half of the people on this forum reply to a serious question: in a sarcastic and condescending manner.BigZuck wrote:In b4 the body of work ban

you don't need connections.
just look at jbagelboy.
His family has roots in Harvard, he himself went to HUG, and what happened? He got dinged at HLS.
WHAT MATTERS THEN?
GPA/LSAT/ URM STATUS

Problem is that you as the same question over and over and are obnoxious about it. Also, you're a troll.CanIGetAnAmen wrote:I'm simply replying the way half of the people on this forum reply to a serious question: in a sarcastic and condescending manner.BigZuck wrote:In b4 the body of work ban

This thread had better not go on for 7 pages unless its 7 pages of making fun of the OP that is enjoyable to read.

I'm going to, and I hope you vote for me for most helpful poster in the midyear awards thread that's going to appear at the end of June.CanIGetAnAmen wrote:I'm simply replying the way half of the people on this forum reply to a serious question: in a sarcastic and condescending manner.BigZuck wrote:In b4 the body of work ban

In a recent scandal at some school, there was this dean who released emails inadvertantly showing that legacies DO get preferential treatment in law school. This was a shock, because previously it was thought it was purely a #'s based admissions process. That said, these connections matter when you're outside the taget numbers for the school. If you look at law school numbers or any of its copycat websites, you'll see that even for the T6, LSAT/GPA is HIGHLY predictive of admissions suggesting that you do not need connections to get into those schools. This is true of the entire T14 as well. Whether there are a few rogue connection-utilizing applicants beating their numbers is a different question, and the answer is likely yes, but don't worry about them. Good luck in your admissions cycle, and if you have any more questions, please feel free to PM me.

Laxbrah is arguably the best troll this site has ever seen. 7K posts and going strong. The OP would be wise to take notice.

Flame??
But seriously, I heard if you didn't have a relative in the first inaugural HLS class, no chance at Harvard. Yale is pretty similar.
