If I had those career aspirations and these were my only two choices I would not go to law school.

I would be hard pressed to pass up Iowa for free. That is not enough money to make Vandy worth it.

Exactly. Neither of these things is happening out of Iowa. You'll need to be content with staying in Iowa if you go there. It places locally. If you have no prior ties to the state, you'll be at a serious disadvantage in finding employment there as well. As for Vandy, the odds of you ending up in either location are pretty remote.
