LSAC Deposit List

I know there are several threads regarding the multiple deposits list that LSAC supposedly sends out on May 15, but is that date firm or could it be released earlier (i.e. today)? I currently have two deposits at peer schools (Tier 1), School X I for sure want to attend and School Y that is far away, but a little higher ranked and cheaper. Should I wait for School X to get the list and contact me regarding the multiple deposits, then stress my financial incentive to School Y, or should I be more proactive and email them myself (which I feel would show too much interest and not give them incentive to offer more money).

I appreciate any input! This is the final stage of my negotiating and I really don't want to screw it up.
