How good of a soft is Prestigious Work Experience.

Post by cruxisfalcon » Sat Apr 06, 2013 4:18 pm

If I have a few years at a top consulting/banking firm (MBB or BBs), how would this affect admissions chances? I know a lot of WE doesn't make much of a difference, but if I were looking at a T6 school, how much of a difference would this make? Can it compensate for alright (not terrible, not fantastic) numbers?

Hardly matters. Answer to your last question is no. If you don't have the numbers then WE won't help unless you worked in the lab that cured cancer.

No, it won't help. But that being said, it may help you during OCI.

If you don't have competitive numbers, AdComms may not even look into your app enough to discover your prestigious WE. But coupled with good numbers, WE can only help you, especially with some schools (NU comes to mind).
