Wait List = No Scholarship?
Is it assumed that if you get in off the wait list you will be paying sticker?

Generally, but I know of people at a few of the T14 who have gotten a little DAP.

It's only logical that you're not likely to get a scholarship. Unless you're in really early off WL, you're basically a second option, last in the bunch. It's not impossible to get a scholarship, just unlikely.
For example, GW let me in off WL, so I'm doubting I get a scholly out of there.

Well....I know quite a few splitters that got big money off the waitlist. If a school needs you to reach a median, then they'll shell out some cash. But if you're a normal borderline app.....probably not.

This. You might become desirable later in the application cycle because of the way the numbers work out. If by that time you've already been accepted to some other schools, possibly with $$$, you're more likely to be offered money when they pull you off the WL.wannabelawstudent wrote:Well....I know quite a few splitters that got big money off the waitlist. Yeah OP, speaking to this point, Minnesota appeared to be shooting for a 167 LSAT median accepting EVERYONE 167+ and waitlisting 166s. But this last week it appears they've settled for a 166 and haven accepted some 166s off the waitlist with full rides.bp shinners wrote:This. Re: Wait List = No Scholarship?
This used to be the consensus. I know a number of people who got money from the waitlist, from schools in the 7-14 range to TT
With applications being down, I think schools are much more willing to throw some cash at applicants

Does WL constitute YPing? If so I would guess that those that were WLed as a product of YPing could get some money, otherwise scholarship money for WLed people should be considered the exception unless the school is hurting for applicants (very possible)
