Retake a 170?
I know 170 is a great score and I should be happy, but I can't help but feel that I could have studied harder and done better. It's especially eating me up because I have a 3.95+ GPA that I feel like I'm wasting. What do you guys think?
Also, how does taking the LSAT ~3 times look to adcomms? I have taken it twice so far. I'm currently in my third year of college and I'm planning on working for a year or two before applying, so I'll have time to retake in October or December of next year. I'm just worried that having three attempts will look bad, especially to schools like HYS/CCN.
Thanks

Retake. It makes no sense that taking 3 times would look bad, especially if you got a 170 on your second time around. Most schools look at the highest scorescruxisfalcon wrote:I know 170 is a great score and I should be happy, but I can't help but feel that I could have studied harder and done better. Definitely retake. Don't ever go to law school thinking you could have done a little better on the LSAT.

It sounds like you already know the answer, OP. Don't waste that stellar GPA.

I'm retaking a 170 LSAT and I'm a AA URM with above a 3.5 GPA.
So yes... you should.

+1, 177, and it was the best decision I ever made. It's tough, because I know the feeling of wanting to settle for what you got and never look at the LSAT again, but a retake will probably put you into HYS territory.florida1949 wrote:yeah i re-took a 170, got a 176

Since you acknowledge that you could have studied better, this is a total no-brainer. Good luck to you. Noodley's retaker guide was my method, and it really helped.

Nah bro, this is TLS where we contemplate retaking 175s because YLS 75% is 176. Retake if the opportunity cost is only time.cruxisfalcon wrote:I know 170 is a great score and I should be happy
