LOCI

Post by ltezen » Tue Mar 05, 2013 11:12 am

this may have been asked already, but as I can't find any answers i'm just going to go ahead and ask hoping that someone may have an answer:

i haven't heard back yet from a couple of schools (submitted late december and went complete early january for all of them) and was wondering if even though we haven't been waitlisted/held/deferred, is it a good idea to send in a LOCI? or would they consider that a burden on top of what they already have, given that i am not even waitlisted?

Has anything changed? New job, new award, anything?

If not, don't send.

If so, is it likely that anything additional will change if you do end up on the WL? Sending a LOCI now reduces the effectiveness of one later at a more crucial time.

This is the key--you need to make your LOCI count when it matters most. I would personally hold off for the time being.
