Yeild Protect?

Post by karmaman » Thu Feb 28, 2013 8:57 pm

3.3, 166 urm and waitlisted at georgetown and boston college, do you guys think this is some sort of yeild protect play? I figured as an urm with those numbers i would be in, or at least judging by lsn..what are my chances of getting off the WL if I write an LOCI?

Who is Yelid, and why do we need to protect him?

Maybe YP at BC.

Very likely not being YPed at GULC. Theyre just choosing other under both median URMs they like more + picking up URMs with lower LSATs but median or above GPAs. Or they havnt picked which below median URMs to let in yet. Wouldnt call it YP.

Your chances of getting in are pretty good...

You are probably just going to have to wait until they figure out their class size to see how many below both median URMs they can accept.

Just be patient, man. I'm in a similar boat. URMs that are at or below medians typically have to wait longer to hear back from better schools or to get off of the wait list.

Haha classic.

He sounds like a Palestinian informant on 24. Someone call Jack Bauer, ASAP.
