NI Accelerated JD & Diverse Admitted Student Open House Forum

I was accepted yesterday. Just got an invite to this Open House.

I did not apply for the accelerated program. I am also not a URM.

Does this mean the intent is that they are going to pitch the accelerated program to me?

So says the website. I guess I am a diverse student because I am several years out of undergrad? But, that's not so 'diverse' at NU, so, still seems a little peculiar...

We are one of only a handful of law schools with a full-time Director of Diversity Education and Outreach who is dedicated to providing support to Northwestern Law's diverse students as they pursue their law degree. Diversity Education and Outreach constituencies include culturally diverse and historically underrepresented ethnic groups, such as African Americans, Pacific Asian Americans, Southeast Asian Americans, Latinos, and Native Americans, and others who are often underrepresented or marginalized, such as gay and lesbian students, older students, and students with children. I got the email, too, same boat you're in, although I don't think of myself as an "older student," I'm barely 25.
