PLEASE HELP ASAP!!
PLEASE HELP ASAP!!
I am applying this cycle. I have a 4.03 LSAC GPA. I took the October and canceled (was feeling sick), then took December and got a 160. I knew I could do better so I decided to take February except there was a major distraction next to me during the whole test (a nervous wreck who was shaking the table, sighing loudly, and even whispering to himself). I think I possibly did much worse than a 160...
Should I file a complaint so that LSAC can possibly write under my score that I had distracting circumstances? The only bad thing is it might delay my score and since it is already so late in the cycle I'm afraid it will hurt my chances. What will hurt my chances more: a score than comes on-time or a later, delayed score with an explanation?
ANY advice would be appreciated! I don't know what to do. I need to send in my complaint by tomorrow night (if I decide to do so) so please answer ASAP.

Thank you for your response but I have already taken it 3 times. And I would like to know what I could about this situation in particular.

it might be tough to get it thrown out based solely on sighing loudly. people sigh. have you considered alleging he was smoking rock in the testing room subjecting you to fumes that influenced your logical thinking?

And shockingly enough, people sigh, shake the table, and whisper to themselves in law school exams sometimes, too.
Did you say anything to the proctor at the time?

Call and tell them. If you don't like the score, let the time pass and retake. Get a job in the meantime.

Yes I asked to be moved and the proctor did not allow it. I know it is all minor distractions but it was pretty constant and I truly feel like it affected my score. I dont think my score can be thrown out but I definitely think that an explanation of this circumstance can help my score if it is severely low.

Just go with the now TLS classic "violation of consent" angle

A note will be meaningless in light of your first take of 160. Withdraw your apps. Retake in June. Apply next year shooting for HYS CCN. You could complain to LSAC anyway, with hopes of a free retake and not having it marked as cancelledlawschoolhopefulll90 wrote:Yes I asked to be moved and the proctor did not allow it. And with your previous cancel, no school will take a complaint seriously and they'll just treat you as a 160 who is crazy

Nothing can be done about this situation. You can't get a note from LSAC describing the situation (there's no way they'll do that). It sucks when stuff like that happens, but you just have to deal with it, unfortunately.lawschoolhopefulll90 wrote:Yes I asked to be moved and the proctor did not allow it. As others have said, your only option at this point is to either apply with these scores, or ride it out a few years and retake.

You have six days to cancel your score, so call LSAC right now and cancel.
