Sending LOCI before decision?

Post by patienunderstanding » Thu Jan 31, 2013 12:21 pm

Is it a good idea to send a LOCI before a school has reached a decision? I've been "in review" for sometime and by looking at past cycle it appears that decision is coming. So should I send a LOCI now and say, for example, that I had 4.0 my last semester and blah blah blah? Or should I wait and send it, for example, when I'm waitlisted?
Thanks a lot for your help :D

I'm new here but I doubt that's a good move.
Typically LOCI are just for those placed on the Waitlist.

If you've been complete at a school since October or November or something and haven't seen any movement, you could totally send a LOCI now in the hopes that it would prod the adcom to make a (hopefully positive) decision.

Typically, though, it's a strategy for after you've been waitlisted, like the other poster said.
