Re: Application Mistake - Wrong Date in Education Section
Yea send an update via email / fax and also make sure you call the admissions office notifying them of the mistake and that you took corrective measures.
you should be OK.

It is, but it's not a major mistake. Just email the schools to let them know, and you'll be fine. (then again, I hope you only submitted your apps recently)Chaucer1343 wrote:it's my mistake for not checking it.

Yes, about a week ago. Some of the apps are under review already.

For one error, no. If it's the 5th correction in a week, then you're in troubleChaucer1343 wrote:Emails sent! I hope I don't become a notorious applicant at the different admissions offices.

Re: Application Mistake - Wrong Dates in Education Section
Sorry to hijack the thread but I did something similar. I attended a CC from September to June of one year and it is correctly listed as such on my resume. Would it be worth sending an email to schools (particularly one that is already under review) to correct a mistake on LSAC portion of the application because I listed the dates as September to May?
One part of me wants my applications to be as flawless as possible while another part of me is worried it might delay my already kinda late applications.

I think the bigger question is... if you email them with that and later find a bigger issue, are you going to feel weird emailing them again?

Re: Application Mistake - Wrong Dates in Education Section
Just coming to this thread now, sorry. I had a similar problem--in my applications I had listed my undergrad graduation date as 2011 instead 2010. I sent a really short email to all the admissions committees detailing the error and apologizing for it. I don't think it hurts, and I don't think it delayed my applications, although my apps were sent in early November and I sent my correction email on 11/15.amonthofsundays wrote:Sorry to hijack the thread but I did something similar. Most schools just emailed me back and thanked me for notifying them of the mistake. I definitely don't think it hurts.
