Hey everybody, I know this is not for a few months but when is the appropriate time/method to ask schools for increases in scholarships, ie if you have a full ride at a peer institution? My guess would be:
- Post Admission
- Post Scholarship (or lack of) notification
- Pre First Deposit (to keep some leverage)
By typed letter sent to office of admissions?

Re: Negotiating Scholarships
I know there's a really comprehensive thread about this that someone will have handy...
But if you've already been admitted and are receiving scholarship information then it's not too early from what I understand.

Re: Negotiating Scholarships
thanks read through in entirety, only remaining question is regarding timing. Do you wait until you get an initial offer from schools to contact them regarding competing offers or do you do so after you get admitted prior to hearing of their package?
Thank you
Thank you
