Re: Will my disciplinary record hurt me?
I would NOT worry about this, just be sure to be forthcoming about it on any applications that require disclosure. I know quite a few people at T10 schools with DUIs and other random arrests. It didn't seem to hurt any of them. I had multiple disclosures, worse than that, and all my acceptances were exactly what my numbers predicted.

No should be fine. Small incident many people have them.
Roommate's a real douche though.

Don't worry about this. It's really not going to hurt you. Just disclose everything, and you'll be fine.john09121 wrote:Just found out I was on disciplinary probation for a semester as a result of this violation. Does this change the picture? This is such an awful feeling. I suspect I'll have an ulcer by the time I've completed my application.
Right now, my top target is Harvard. I'm told I have a decent shot at admission with my numbers? Are they any more/less lenient about these sorts of things?

Seriously, it sounds like he was trying to help his friend out. It was still a pretty stupid thing to do, but it wasn't like he was making money off of it or anything. I just don't get why the roommate felt compelled to report it.epiphinous7 wrote:No should be fine. Small incident many people have them..Roommate's a real douche though
