Status checker:when should I start bothering myself with it? Forum

I have 20 some apps pending, more than half already with a status checker. That said, all of them are about a week old.
When should I start checking daily? I really don't think there will be any movement before the second week of January, but am I wrong?

More valuable information comes through the mail, email or phone than your status checker in most instances unless you're just looking to see if your application is 'complete'

Thanks. Some of them are complete, and for those that are I got an email telling me it is.
So basically the checker does nothing?

There are some that say that the decision has been mailed....if that helps. Other than that, I think every school now will inform you preemptively via mail, email or phone - or at least that's my experience.
