My list of schools, can I get in?
Here is my list of schools I am interested in and I have a 3.85 LSAC GPA
My Undergraduate University GPA is 3.97, but I got a few B's in high school dual enrollment.
Took 3 years to finish undergrad.
My question is: what is the worst I can get on the LSAT to at least get into these schools?
I know that I can get at least a 155 on my LSAT
Cash ain't an issue.
In no particular order:
1. university of florida
2. university of maryland
3. university of north carolina
4. george mason university
5. college of william and mary
6. george washington university
7. university of alabama

Also, why would you not want free money? Can I have your scholarship then?

You'll probably need better than a 155. A score of 159 or higher should yield a few acceptances from your targeted law schools.

With a 3.85 GPA, you should not settle for any school that will take a 155. Study for the LSAT and come back when you have a score. Shoot for 165+ at least. If you can get a 170+, you will probably be able to get into the T14 (minus HYS, you need 175+ there).

The thing is that I usually have trouble with standardized tests. It happened on the SAT and I am assuming it will happen again with the LSATs. In class I am perfect though.cynthiad wrote:With a 3.85 GPA, you should not settle for any school that will take a 155. Study for the LSAT and come back when you have a score. I'm bored so I'll play. With a 3.85... I'd guestimate:
1. university of florida -161
2. university of maryland - No idea
3. university of north carolina -160/161 if you are in state... 164 and a solid reason for going there for out of state
4. george mason university - 162
5. college of william and mary - 164, MAYBE a 163.
6. george washington university - I can't see that high
7. university of alabama - 164
Also, I like your use of ain't.

Get over it. I know it sounds mean, but when three points can mean $200,000, it's worth it to work on. Buckle down and study, then take some proctored prep tests to simulate the real thing.itachiuchiha wrote:The thing is that I usually have trouble with standardized tests. If money isn't an issue and you're perfect in class then take a fancy prepcourse.TripTrip wrote:Get over it. I know it sounds mean, but when three points can mean $200,000, it's worth it to work on. LSAT is not the SAT. At all. It's a very good test. Get to know it, put some effort in, and you will be rewarded.itachiuchiha wrote:The thing is that I usually have trouble with standardized tests. thanks for the motivation.. it is actually the RC that kills me. I've never been good at it. With some work with LG and LR, I know I can improve there.abcde12345 wrote:LSAT is not the SAT. At all. Yeah RC is very hard to improve on. But the other two aren't, especially LG.itachiuchiha wrote:thanks for the motivation.. it is actually the RC that kills me. I've never been good at it. With some work with LG and LR, I know I can improve there.

Also, don't ED UVA if you score over 170.

Why do people ask this without having a LSAT? This is kind of a major factor in "can I get in?"

It is funny how everyone always says, "ED UVA." UVA must be known as the biggest LSAT whore in the T-14 based on the advice that TLS gives.TripTrip wrote:OP hasn't taken the LSAT.dproduct wrote:Hasn't been said yet:

look back at the question:Zoomie wrote:Why do people ask this without having a LSAT? This is kind of a major factor in "can I get in?"
"what is the lowest LSAT that I can get with my GPA that will allow me to attend these schools"
