No NYU Waiver?
Both numbers above median. I emailed to request a waiver, and I got an automated message back saying they're not considering requests. I don't get it?
Also, does Berkeley offer fee waivers?

Same happened to me at Columbia.
I got NYU though so who knows what the deal is.

Thank you for your interest in applying to Berkeley Law School.
We offer a need-based application fee waiver program which is administered by Law Services. If you obtain an LSAC fee waiver your application fee will be waived automatically when you apply to Berkeley.
Merit-based waivers are not offered.
Fee waivers also are available to applicants who are current or recently-separated (within last six months) participants in public service programs (i.e., Peace Corps, Teach for America, AmeriCorps), who are active or recently-separated members of the military, or who have special circumstances.

Re: No NYU Waiver?
Nyu was hidden for me. I don't get why some people get it and some don't. Seems randomized
As far as I know no one gets merit based from berk.

Re: No NYU Waiver?
In regards to Berkeley, I did an AmeriCorps program, and they didn't grant me a waiver. So I think the TFA/city year thing is correct.
However, they did give waivers through a program "designed to encourage outstanding students from California State Colleges and the University of California system to apply to Berkeley Law."
The quoted part is from an email where I received a waiver. They did say they were piloting the program. So this may or may not happen in the future.

Nah, your avatar I'm talking about!eav1277 wrote:If blue is a Berkeley student...no. Bruin
And Trip, me too. I got CC but no N.
I think it's because I went to an event at my school with NYU's dean. They passed around a sheet with contact info, and I put mine down. Perhaps they took that info and put my name in their system as someone who was interested and would apply anyway, so they didn't give me a waiver.

Ohhhh. Of course. People also use blues a lot for Chelsea. So that's why I didn't automatically assume City. If you had said Citizen, I would have said yes instantly. I started following them when they bought Tevez. Also, you probably already know this, but the tar is Aguero scoring the third goal against QPR to win the title!
Also got to see them play twice the summer they came to the US.

Of course I know that lol. And yeah, blue is used for chelsea, but also very often for city--especially when you have a city avatar! Nice to see a fellow blue on here.eav1277 wrote:Ohhhh. Of course. Always nice to meet a fellow city fan. People may complain about the money, but all the big clubs have been the ones with the most money (at least relative to all the other clubs). People just don't like change. Also, it's easier to be a United, Madrid, Liverpool, etc fan because they have always been good (in recent decades). City could have flopped. They were a project. Coming along nicely...once we figure out the whole Champions League thing

Yes! And I don't think Mancini really cares about chumps league to be honest. But I don't really care either--happy with Mancini, happy to be champions.eav1277 wrote:I didn't doubt you. I do like mancini, but after this disappointing champions league result, I think he is going to have to win the title to keep his job. What do you think? And would you prefer guardiola or mourinho to replace him...if you had to replace him?

Re: No NYU Waiver?
I agree that he'll have to win something, perhaps the title. Our owners are definitely not Abramovich; they want to make an investment. Firing managers indiscriminately isn't the best way to do this. But I don't know. I despise Mourinho, and nobody knows how good Guardiola really is. Anyway, the rags are gonna get Mourinho I think.eav1277 wrote:I do like mancini, but after this disappointing champions league result, I think he is going to have to win the title to keep his job. Re: No NYU Waiver?
Yeah I don't know what the heck is up with NYU's fee waivers. I've gotten one from every T-14 that offers them except NYU. People on this forum have gotten them with lower numbers than I have, and I'm URM. It's annoying. I'm considering not applying there out of spite, and because I don't really have much desire to really go there (mostly applying for scholarship leverage).

You should cop that LSAC waiver.
