Targeted Letters?

I know they won't help much (or at all), but can they hurt? My boss insists on writing one for the school I want to go to (he's not an alum). He is writing a generic one also. Should I just send the generic to all?

Send the targeted if you have it. It will not hurt. You have a nice boss.
