Do I need to explain LSAT performance?

Post by mb214 » Sat Nov 24, 2012 2:50 pm

Scored a 163 almost 4 years ago, just got back a 169 from the October test. Given that the score is that old, do I need to "explain away" the increase?

Even if it wasn't old, I probably wouldn't recommend 'explaining it away.'

No. Addcoms won't care, don't waste their time.

Even if there were a much bigger difference between the scores, what's the downside of not including an addendum? Are addcomms going to ding you because you improved significantly and didn't include a statement explaining how/why? That doesn't seem likely.

I would think that if they care, they'll ask, and you can explain it then.

Cool cool, that's what I was thinking too, but good to hear that's the consensus. Thanks.
