is the statement of undergrad dean only for the Stanford application? i feel like its really unnecessary and random, seeing as most schools seem to not have it part of the app.
whatever my opinion doesn't matter, i gotta get it =P. anyway i was just curious. thanks!

Re: statement of undergrad dean question
My dean of students told me she gets them all the time. I highly doubt very many people apply to Stanford from my UG. So it's probably not just Stanford, although their app is the only place I've seen it requested so far.

Several schools have them if you check yes on the disciplinary history question. Stanford is one of, if not the only one that requires it for all applicants.

Many law schools require them after you have been accepted. Also, if you answer "yes" to some C&F questions.
