Is an addendum necessary???

Post by ACY1989 » Wed Nov 14, 2012 12:19 am

I'm currently working on fine tuning my ED application to UCLA and I need advice on whether or not an addendum is necessary.

My LSAT scores are as follows:
December 2011 - 163
February 2012 - 166
June 2012 - 162

I don't have a solid reason for the drop in score. I prepared for the June exam and was scoring in the mid 170's on all PT's. It can be summed up as a bad day, but is that something that I can run with to prepare a meaningful addendum?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I don't think you should write an addendum because all 3 of your scores are within the same range. It would seem like you are trying to make excuses for something extremely insignificant...

Don't write an addendum if you don't have a reason for a score that's a couple points lower. With the drop in applications, schools will probably just keep looking at the highest score and take who they can to keep their medians up.
