Can my C&F double as an addendum? Forum

Can my C&F double as an addendum?

On academic probation at a CC for 1 semester.. I was planning on writing how that 1 semester significantly hurt my gpa and talk about why. Since I have to include a statement on that academic probation on most applications should I just go further into detail there instead of writing a separate addendum or do I still write the separate addendum?
