I applied for law school last year, but ended up deciding to take a year off and reapply this year. LSAC already has my transcript on file, but it is the one I sent in last year that doesn't include my final semester. My gpa went down like .02 over that last semester, so obviously I would rather not send in an updated version. But I could see how schools would want to see my final transcript.
Thoughts?

Re: Do I need to send updated transcript?
Update your transcript. If a school is evaluating your application, and they see you graduated in 2012 but they only have grades up to end of 2011, they're going to be confused, ask you for an update anyway, and possibly wonder if you were trying to hide it or game the system.
I don't know what LSACs rules are about transcripts, but the appearance of having been deliberately deceptive (if the school comes to that conclusion) will probably hurt worse than the .02, which they will find out about anyway.

Not just a recommendation - update it. You're required to.
