Why is this going to be such a weird cycle? Forum

Evening y'all...

So I've been hearing more and more that this upcoming cycle is going to be very uncharacteristic of the previous ones, and that the numbers on LSN, etc. will not be hugely helpful in determining one's chances. Why is this? Sorry if this has been addressed over and over, but it's been a while since I've really been active on here, and quite honestly, I'm a lazy fuck.

ETA: Also, will this "weirdness" be in the favor of applicants or no?

A lazy question deserves a lazy answer:

Fewer applicants and fewer high LSAT scores. Schools may let some medians slip and/or may accept fewer students. In many cases, the cycle will likely favor applicants. The changes are only "major" relative to the norm--LSN is still largely going to be as good a predictor as it has been in past cycles.
