Friend of mine (he went to my UG) is sending out law school apps. He doesn't go on TLS because he's retarded but wanted to know if its worth applying and going to Temple if he wants Philly Biglaw. His numbers are 164/4.0 with a hard science background.
All I could tell him is that my friend that works at Morgan Lewis says there are a lot of temple associates there.
General consensus... worth going or likely hard to find a job afterward?

with those numbers he can get into way better schools than Temple. I had a 4.0 and 166 and somehow got into Harvard, so ... Temple is a bad idea.

164 and 4.0 does not guarantee your friend a top 10-15% class rank at Temple after 1L. Browse/check the employment forum and see what you are in for from Temple as far as employment goes. Yes there are a lot of Temple grads in Philly firms. But there are a lot of Temple grads period, so you are only seeing the ones who finish near the top of their classes. Your friend can get into better schools, or try to retake for a higher score. But generally, you should aim for the best employment odds. With Temple, your friend will be underaiming a bit and headed for a riskier path.

edit: confused the 164/166
But, with a 4.0, I'd just retake. Why the hell do people waste their golden GPAs?
