Yet another LOR Thread

Post by abcde12345 » Thu Sep 06, 2012 7:57 pm

Sorry to make another LOR thread, but I have questions about adding a recommender.

1. What do I put for "title" (the field on the form, not the description)? Do I put, say, TA for a TA, adjunct professor for an adjunct (etc.)?
2. What do I put for building/department? Do I put both the building and the department on the same line?
3. Whose telephone number do I provide? The department's?
4. What does "In care of school/company" mean?
5. What should I put for the description? If it is from someone in my major department, should I indicate that?

Thank you for your help.

1. I dont think it matters. I titled mine Letter 1 and Letter 2
2. Put both on one line
3. I put the Professor's office line. If the TA doesnt have one, id do the department.
4. I dont know.
5. You can but I dont think it matters.

Thank you. As for 1: I meant the field called "title," in the general field where you put the person's name, etc. Is that what you are referring to, or did you think I meant the description (like letter 1 or letter 2)?

I also have another question, if you don't mind. If my recommenders submit their letters electronically, how do i sign the forms indicating that I agree with the LOR conditions?
