1 year of pass/fail classes

Post by dsosah » Fri Aug 10, 2012 1:12 am

I've been meaning to ask this question for a while, but I'm a little scared of the answer. I have been to three different universities: the 1st one was a CC, the second one was a well recognized art school, and now I'm finishing my degree at a small private university. The issue is that I spent two semesters at the art school before realizing that I wanted to do something else, however this art school doesn't gives letter grades (I know, stupid, but for some reason they completely refused to give me a gpa, this is the reason I transferred) Now I'm stuck with two semesters of Pass/fail classes that do not count towards my GPA. My question is, will law schools look at this in a bad light, since I have so many classes without a grade? They are mostly art/studio classes, but I also have some liberal arts classes. This situation is really absurd, I talked to everybody at this school in order to get them to grade my classes, my teachers were willing to do so, but the school won't recognize the grades as official or put them on my transcript. Anyways, if anybody has any insight on this I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Just write a quick addendum explaining that the school doesn't give out grades. There are a few out there. I wouldn't expect it to impact your cycle in any way.
