June test was a 164 have a 3.83 GPA. Looking at Gould at USC; Got some good LOR. The reason I am considering USC is I could get my LLM at LSE. I have attended LSE for a Term. SHould I put that in my personal statement??/ I plan on retaking test to get about a 170. USC, Fordam, Vandy are my backups....

If your PS is about that experience, then yes. If it's not, then no.

The personal statement should not be a long-form resume; it should focus on a specific story/theme, and leave everything else out. Laser, not a shotgun.

How is USC one of your back-ups if it's your target law school ?

With a 164/3.83, none of USC, Fordham or Vanderbilt are safeties.

Only mention it if it flows well with your PS, otherwise just note it on your resume. Don't expect too much of a bump. It's a minor soft, at best imo.

Back-up schools as in OP will target them if (s)he doesn't end up getting ~170 on the retake.

Sorry about the confusion...I studied for a few weeks before the June test....didn't study hard enough. I thought i could push my way through it. before the June test I was testing a solid 167-168 at the end around 170. Since then I have been testing 170-173 on pt's as of late. On the June test I did well on the LR (-0), RC (-5) but bombed the LG (-15). I have been focused on the LG on study. I have improved from my earlier PT's before the June test. I am missing around 7-8 on the LG part now. My LOR that are Great! One a YLS grad and the other a Harvard Phd. Both want me to try to get into their Alma Mater's...not much chance if i don't get above a 173 in OCT. That is my focus.
