you're not getting into H or Y, and unless you have a really strong soft, you're not getting S either. A retake isn't going to hurt you at the other schools, and honestly, you probably still need a retake to have a strong chance at CLS.

HYP will help but it's basically just a soft factor in law school admissions. Someone from a state school with higher numbers will still beat you out.
You're unfortunately below the 25th percentile for GPA at HYS so you'd need a 176 (75th percentile) to have a good shot at admission. It doesn't seem like your score is going to get much better, in fact you might have lucked out in that you didn't underperform at all on test day. I would set your sights on CCN - you may even want to ED one of them.

Retake - but you need to be PTing in the 173-177 range first.

I'm in the same stupid boat!
Except I over-performed in June - I was PTing on average like 168-170, however I managed to get up to 176-177 sometimes.
However, just looking at the June stats, to get out of your bracket you'd have to get 175+
I dunno, is it really worth putting in so much effort to retake when you can still end up stuck with a mildly better score like 173?

Don't retake unless you start PTing at 175+.
I think there is a sort of plateau that most people hit. It obviously differs for each person, but you may just not be able to get past 172. And you shouldn't feel bad about it - that is a fantastic score.
