Re: Law School AppReqs & Fee Waiver Tracker 2012-2013
Ah, after all my disappointment about not getting Michigan love for solicited waivers, they were the only school to have a hidden waiver waiting for me today. My sadness is turned to joy.
Is it probably the case that if I didn't get a hidden waiver today, I won't later on as well, or do some schools stagger distributing those? I won't be applying until early October anyway because of the timing of getting together LORs, so if there's even a slight chance a school might decide to love me before then, I'll take it.
Also, for data's sake, I requested a waiver for BU on 8/21 and still haven't heard back. I'll follow up with them in a few weeks to see where they stand on waivers.

Also are you sure you meant to say Chicago? Did you mean Northwestern? Chicago has never done hidden waivers in the past, and when I went to the Chicago page it said to enter a Fee Waiver Code, which is what schools do in place of hidden waivers. So...one_by_one wrote:171/3.75ish, non-URMbernaldiaz wrote:Numbers?one_by_one wrote:FYI found that I have a Chicago hidden waiver

Yup, UChicago. When I go to submit, it says:bernaldiaz wrote:Also are you sure you meant to say Chicago? Did you mean Northwestern? Payment Method
$ 75 application fee waived due to CRS fee waiver.
Edit: and according to the fee waiver tracker doc, it lists Chicago as hidden only

Did you ever get to the page that says
The $75 fee will be added to your Shopping Cart.
Or enter individual application fee waiver code ____________
And then asks you to check a box and press continue. I didn't hit continue there because I didn't think I was supposed to but maybe I'm just not going far enough?

Actually, I think earlier today it did have the fee, then I checked later and it was waived, so there may still be hope.bernaldiaz wrote:Fuck why didn't I get oneyarsten wrote:+1 for Chicago

Hidden waivers added to unsolicited (not sure where else to put them)
Please post/PM me if you notice any applications which are available but cannot be submitted yet (besides UT, USC, Stanford, and the others noted in the spreadsheet) or if you notice that the application fee is higher or lower than what is shown in the spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet notes that NYU and Penn have sent out hidden waivers today, but I'm not seeing any posts in this topic claiming this. Can anybody C/D?

I had two letters received and assigned to Chicago, yes. I've been waiting on a third letter and the app has been sitting at 100% for a while now. I went to change a few answers today and figured I'd check for the fee waiver while I was at it, and there it was.bernaldiaz wrote:People who got the Chicago fee waiver- are your recommendations already in?
Nothing from NYU though, and I haven't checked Columbia yet.

Ok so just maybe that's why I didn't get a Chicago fee waiver? Otherwise it's sort of confounding, since all they have is our numbers.

Does anyone have a sense how they update hidden waivers? Is there someone in the admissions office this weekend (and beyond) just sprinkling out waivers to applicants? I have a very fuzzy understanding of how these are assigned.Lavitz wrote:I had two letters received and assigned to Chicago, yes.
