i know there are many other threads about this but i can't seem to find one that answers my question exactly.
I took classes at a CC and i dropped a class well before the drop deadline (i was literally enrolled in it for one day). Now the school considers it non-punitive and it was not calculated into my GPA. My transcript says "W" (not WF or NC) However is also says "Units attempted: 6 United Passed:3" which makes it seem like i failed those three units.
the LSAC website clearly states that "Any grade notation that signifies failure (such as No Credit, No Credit/Fail, Not Passing, Incomplete/Fail, Withdraw/Fail, Unsatisfactory, Fail, etc.) is converted to zero on the 4.0 scale and is included in the calculation of the GPA, even if the issuing school considers the grade to be non-punitive. Failure is defined as credit attempted but not earned"
the lsac website is not really clear on this matter imo because first it says that as long as a school considers it non-punitive, its won't be counted, but then it says that it doesn't matter if the school considers it non-punitive. so i was wondering, has anyone else had experience with a non-punitive withdraw that showed units attempted/completed? was it factored into your gpa? what should i do about this?

Someone posted this link a week or so ago. HTH. Also, I had the exact same thing: credit attempted 5, credit earned 0. It's a W. It won't count. I called LSAC to confirm, they did. They processed my GPA, it matched my UG's calculations exactly. Remember the Guide...Don't Panic in large, friendly letters.
