Help!!! USD sticker, SCU or defer?
So i was accepted into Santa Clara U with a 14500 scholarship. I want to live and practice in the Bay Area (I did my undergrad there) and so was okay with the lower ranking. However I just visited the campus and really did not like it. I didn't realize the South Bay was a bubble from the East Bay and SF. Also after more research I didn't realize the bad rep it had for unemployment and underemployment.
I called USD and they said they could reinstate my admission (sticker price) if they received a deposit by this Friday July 6th. Compared to Santa Clara, USD was like a palace and I have relatives there that would make moving in easy. But I am concered that even with the higher ranking, the school won't have much or any affluence in the Bay Area or even LA. Plus its expensive with no monies.
I'm also waitlisted at Loyola LA, which I would def attend if accepted, but there hasn't been much movement on the waitlist.
I'm at a turning point bc i'm quitting my job of 2+ years, so if I decide to defer or reapply I'd need to get a new job or do something worthwhile in that time. I took the LSAT twice already while working full time and not sure if I could do it again, but I am contemplating it.
Thanks for reading.. Suggestions or thoughts?? My options are:
1. go to SCU
2. Defer at SCU and figure out if i want to go next year or reapply
3. Go to USD

Do not go to USD at sticker.
Retake LSAT to get in Davis/Hastings if you really want Bay Area.

Don't quit your current job.
Don't pay sticker price for USD if you need loans to attend.
Retake the LSAT.

Everyone on TLS, myself included, will tell you to retake. USD is a horrible idea for sticker.

If you insist on going, try to get more $$$ from SCU and do PT. If you find that you really hate the school or whatever else, you can walk away from the table with minimal money lost.

Betting there's a brutal sTTTTipulation on that SCU scholarship. They tried to offer me a scholly and *all* I had to do was stay in the top 25%. Should be easy if you just work hard, right?

To be clear, Loyola @ sticker is also a terrible choice.

As a 2L at Loyola, I STRONGLY URGE you to retake if you are absolutely set on law school.

UC Davis and UC Hastings are both terrible schools for the bay area. This advice is complete utter shit.

I wish all 2ls from TTTs would necro threads like this to dissuade future prospective student from following op's path.
Eta: upon more investigation I am suspicious about the motives of this necro. After ops last post itt he remained silent for 10 months, and then reemerged with two posts in the last two days. The person who bumped it was silent for two years before bump.
suspicious...I call shenanigans on one irl friend teasing another through bumping an outdated online thread in the name of playful trolling.
